Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

We are seeking a talented and experienced Software Engineering Lead to lead our backend engineering team. As a key member of our organization, you will be responsible for translating business needs into a quarterly roadmap, delegating tasks effectively, and maintaining high engineering standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and motivate a distributed backend engineering team.
  • Translate business needs into a quarterly roadmap.
  • Delegate tasks effectively while maintaining momentum on the roadmap and technical debt.
  • Participate actively in architectural discussions and collaborate with Product teams to design and develop new features.
  • Maintain high engineering standards through code reviews and feedback.
  • Handle complex, high-priority technical implementations.
  • Oversee release and deployment processes to ensure stability.
  • Identify root causes of recurring issues and work to reduce errors.
  • Conduct meaningful 1:1s, mentoring and coaching engineers.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in backend software development at scale.
  • Deep expertise in Java and Spring Framework.
  • Strong understanding of microservices and distributed systems.
  • Knowledge of relational and NoSQL databases.
  • Experience with CI/CD, containerization, and AWS.
  • Track record of resolving technical and process bottlenecks.
  • Leadership skills, preferably across multiple geographies.
