Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the availability, integrity, and performance of databases that support core business operations.

The Database Administrator will work closely with cross-functional teams to administer, manage, tune, and secure data platforms in line with enterprise standards and compliance requirements.

The role involves close coordination with network, application, and infrastructure teams to support high-volume, real-time data environments. The Database Administrator will lead optimization efforts, support disaster recovery and capacity planning, and provide technical guidance for data-related components in business and IT projects.

The Database Administrator reports directly to the Manager DB Services.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Architect, implement, and maintain database systems supporting business operations.
  2. Ensure 24x7 uptime and low-latency performance for databases handling financial transactions and business traffic.
  3. Perform query tuning, indexing, and partitioning for OLTP and OLAP workloads.
  4. Lead disaster recovery, HADR, replication, and automated failover strategies across data centers.
  5. Collaborate with security teams for audit trails, data encryption, access control, and log management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Four to Six years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years hands-on experience with database technologies (MySQL, MongoDB, IBM DB2).
  • At least 2 years hands-on experience with database technologies (MS SQL, PostgreSQL, Oracle, Cassandra).
  • Must have proven experience managing high-volume, large-scale databases efficiently.
  • Must possess hands-on experience working across Linux, HP-UX, Solaris, and Windows Server operating environments.
  • Hands-on experience with RDBMS and NoSQL databases.
