Job Title: Healthcare Professional

The Population Welfare Department in Punjab seeks qualified candidates for the positions of Medical Officer, Assistant Director, and Deputy District Population Welfare Officer.

This is a 05-year contract role with 50 available positions, including reserved posts for special persons, minorities, and open merit for women.

The selection process includes a written examination with a paper MCQ type test of 100 marks and 90 minutes duration.

The exam structure consists of:

  • Qualification-related Questions (80%)
  • General Ability including General Knowledge, Pakistan Studies, Current Affairs, Geography, Basic Mathematics, English, Urdu, Everyday Science, and Basic Computer Studies (20%)

Main responsibilities for this position include:

Healthcare Responsibilities
  • Providing Comprehensive Healthcare Services: Offering medical services to individuals and families, focusing on reproductive health and family planning.
  • Health Education and Promotion: Educating the community on various health issues, including maternal and child health, nutrition, and family planning methods.
  • Clinical Management: Managing clinical services, diagnosing, and treating patients, ensuring high standards of care.

The role involves assisting in the implementation of population welfare programs and policies.

Key responsibilities for an Assistant Director include:

  • Program Implementation and Supervision: Assisting in implementing population welfare programs and supervising field staff to ensure effective delivery of services.
  • Reporting and Evaluation: Preparing and submitting reports on program activities and outcomes, evaluating their effectiveness, and suggesting improvements.

A Deputy District Population Welfare Officer's key responsibilities include:

  • Community Engagement and Outreach: Engaging with communities to promote population welfare programs.
  • Resource Management: Managing resources, including staff and budget, to ensure program efficiency.
  • Monitoring and Evaluation: Monitoring program activities, evaluating their effectiveness, and suggesting improvements.
