Procurement Strategist


The role of a Procurement Strategist is to develop and implement procurement strategies that drive business growth, minimize risks, and maximize benefits. As a key member of the procurement department, you will be responsible for providing strategic procurement support to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive procurement strategies that align with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Manage procurement processes, including tendering, contracting, and supplier management, to maintain high standards of quality and service.
  • Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements, using data-driven insights to inform decision-making.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify procurement needs and develop strategies to address them, promoting a culture of collaboration and teamwork.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, maintaining a strong focus on governance and risk management.

Requirements:

  • A Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in procurement, preferably in the healthcare industry, with a proven track record of delivering results.
  • Experience working in an ERP-based environment, with SAP knowledge or experience being a plus.
  • Professional certification in procurement, such as CIPS or ISM, is highly desirable.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions, driving business growth and improvement.
