Chief Financial Officer Job Description

About the job: We are seeking a Chief Financial Officer to oversee all financial activities and manage budgets company-wide.

Singaporean IT firm expanding its team in Pakistan is looking for a finance leader who can design smart financial strategies to boost profits and support growth.

The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with financial leadership in fast-paced environments, maintain strong relationships within the banking sector and financial institutions, and understand the unique financial needs and agility required in startup ecosystems.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all financial activities to manage budgets and control costs company-wide.
  • Design smart financial strategies to boost profits and support growth.
  • Create strong risk management plans to protect finances.
  • Improve financial processes to save time, cut risks, and boost efficiency.
  • Lead internal audits to ensure compliance and transparency.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; CA, ACCA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Minimum 8-12 years of relevant experience, with at least 3-5 years in early to mid-stage startups.
  • Proven experience in financial modeling and strategic financial planning.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strategic thinker with strong analytical skills and financial modeling expertise.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Leadership qualities to mentor and lead small finance teams.
  • Proactive and hands-on, comfortable in a fast-paced startup environment.
  • Proficient in financial software and digital reporting tools.
