Job Overview

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-driven backend developer to lead our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for software development and related technologies, with the ability to work individually and as part of a group to achieve desirable goals and results.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate with front-end developers, UX/UI designers, and other stakeholders to build scalable and maintainable solutions.
  • Design and develop large-scale web applications with a strong focus on security, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Create and maintain database schemas and design database queries to efficiently retrieve data from MongoDB.
  • Write reusable and modular code in Java or Node.js and integrate it with other systems and applications.
  • Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks such as Express.js, Koa.js, Nest.js, Spring Boot, or Micronaut.
  • Have experience in developing XML/JSON-based web services.
  • Sound API design and knowledge of HTTP principles are vital to providing robust, easily consumed services.
  • Design and develop backend services, APIs, and databases that support EHR system and Healthcare IT applications.
  • Review the development and coding of Java programs and systems.
  • Understand MongoDB, RESTful APIs, OAuth, and JSON.
  • Research, test, benchmark, and evaluate new technology.
  • Perform post-implementation reviews to determine if the system and cost objectives were achieved.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • 5+ years of experience in backend development, with strong experience in Java or Node.js.
  • Strong experience in database design and development with MongoDB.
  • Strong understanding of data security and privacy regulations such as HIPAA.
  • Experience with FHIR is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of coding systems including LOINC, ICD-10, CPT, HCPCS, and SNOMED-CT.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
