About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Solar Installation Manager to join our team. As a key member of our installation team, you will be responsible for overseeing the installation of photovoltaic solar systems, managing crews, and ensuring timely completion of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a crew of three to five installers at a time, providing guidance and support to ensure high-quality installations.
  • Train all Solar Installers on safety requirements, installation procedures, and product knowledge, ensuring they have the necessary skills to perform their roles effectively.
  • Install, maintain, and repair photovoltaic solar systems, including racking, panels, and stand-offs, adhering to industry standards and regulations.
  • Configure strings for solar arrays and run electrical DC wires to inverters, ensuring optimal system performance.
  • Organize and maintain system components in warehouses, company trucks, and at job sites, optimizing logistics and reducing waste.
  • Document completion of installations and ensure timely clean-up of job sites, maintaining a safe and professional work environment.
  • Attend mandatory training sessions on new products, installation methodology, and safety protocols, staying up-to-date with industry developments.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience as a Solar Lead, with a proven track record of successfully managing installation teams.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Solar Installer, with expertise in photovoltaic solar systems and related technologies.
  • Strategic mindset with ability to think critically and make informed decisions, ensuring the successful completion of projects.
  • Physical mobility of upper and lower body, enabling you to work comfortably in various positions, including climbing ladders, stairs, and rooftops.
  • Ability to handle frequent change, delays, or unexpected events, remaining flexible and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
  • Willingness to work long hours when necessary to reach goals, demonstrating your commitment to delivering exceptional results.
  • Capability to work in various positions, lifting, pulling, and pushing materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks, while prioritizing safety and efficiency.
  • Superb customer service skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills, ensuring effective collaboration with stakeholders and colleagues.
