Job Purpose:

Increase community participation and awareness through effective engagement, behavior change communication, social/business mobilization strategies, and trainings, particularly for women farmers in target communities.

This role involves developing and implementing strategies to engage local businesses and communities, building relationships with key stakeholders, and supporting businesses in accessing financial and technical resources.

Role Overview:

The Enterprise Development Manager will be responsible for driving the successful implementation of the project by engaging communities, identifying potential businesses, and mobilizing resources.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement strategies to engage local businesses and communities.
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including business owners, local authorities, and industry partners.
  • Support businesses in accessing financial and technical resources to enhance their sustainability and growth.
  • Gather and analyze data on market trends, business performance, and community needs.
  • Collaborate with project teams to develop business strategies, action plans, and progress reports.
  • Facilitate linkages between businesses and service providers, financial institutions, and market opportunities.
  • Monitor and evaluate project activities, ensuring targets and objectives are met.
  • Prepare and submit regular reports on mobilization efforts, challenges, and success stories.

Requirements:

A minimum of five years of experience in business development, community mobilization, or entrepreneurship support is required. Strong networking, communication, and negotiation skills are essential. The ability to work independently and as part of a team-oriented environment is necessary. Experience working on donor-funded projects or community-based initiatives is desirable. Computer literacy with demonstrated use of word processing, database, and presentation software (Word, Excel, Power Point, Canva, etc.) is required. Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory. Spoken Urdu and Pashto is desirable. Willngness to travel within project areas as needed is required.

Qualification / Knowledge:

A Bachelor's degree or higher from a recognized university in Business Administration, Marketing, Economics, Social Sciences, or a related field is required.
