System Operations Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled System Operations Specialist to join our team. As a trusted expert, you will apply deep technical expertise to solve complex infrastructure challenges, drive automation, and improve system performance, availability, and scalability.

This role is ideal for engineers who thrive in high-ambiguity environments, lead root-cause analysis efforts, and identify long-term solutions in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

You will work across multiple technologies, contributing to architecture decisions and ensuring operational excellence. Key responsibilities include:

  • Root cause analysis
  • Tracking and improving operational metrics and SLAs
  • Driving process automation
  • Managing incident response
  • Creating high-quality documentation, KBAs and SOPs

We use a variety of tools and platforms to support operations, reporting, and collaboration, including:

  • ServiceNow – for ticketing, incident tracking, and change management
  • Jira & Confluence – for task tracking, documentation, and team collaboration
  • Alteryx – for data pipeline orchestration and transformation
  • Teradata – for large-scale enterprise data querying
  • Tidal – for job scheduling and automation
  • SQL Databases – for querying, maintaining, and troubleshooting system data
  • Visio & Lucidchart – for system architecture and process diagramming
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • 1 to 2 years of experience as a System Engineer and a bachelor's degree
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a commitment to meeting SLAs and KPIs
  • Solid understanding of databases and SQL
  • Preferred hands-on experience with the technologies mentioned (we can provide self-learning resources on the job)
  • Proficiency in installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems
  • Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
