Teaching and Learning Position

As an instructor in anesthesia technology, you will be responsible for delivering assigned courses and contributing to the development of educational materials. You will assist in preparing curricula, maintaining records to monitor student progress, and assessing student's progress and providing feedback.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Meet annual performance targets assigned by the Head of Department (HOD).
  • Work towards creating a high-quality teaching and learning environment for students as set by the Dean/Principal of the University.
  • Deliver assigned courses according to faculty workload policy.
  • Assist in developing educational materials and maintaining records to monitor student progress and achievement.
  • Contribute to the development of module information packs, assignments, and examination questions.
  • Assess student's progress and provide feedback.
  • Develop own teaching and learning skills and contribute to the planning of teaching programs.
  • Employ innovative teaching strategies and facilitate experiential learning during lessons.
  • Liaise and maintain good relationships with academic colleagues and colleagues in practice.
  • Supervise student projects, field trips, and placements as required.
  • Set, mark, and assess work and examinations, and provide feedback to students.
  • Update data in Virtual Learning Environment (VLE) and other required software as per requirements.
  • Incorporate Islamic and ethical values in teaching.
  • Participate in departmental and university committees' activities.
  • Ensure that teaching content and methods of delivery align with the University mission and address subordinates' and students' needs.

The ideal candidate should have a strong educational background in anatomy technology, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to teach in an inclusive and culturally sensitive manner.
