Industrial Designer Job Description:

We are looking for a skilled Industrial Designer to conceptualize and develop innovative product designs.

The ideal candidate will have a strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work, including ideation, development, and final outcomes.

  • The designer should be able to conduct thorough research to understand user needs, market trends, and design opportunities.
  • They should be proficient in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, and/or Fusion 360.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping is essential.
  • The designer should be able to create detailed 3D models and technical drawings for prototyping and manufacturing.
  • Presentation skills are crucial, as the designer will need to present design ideas and concepts to internal teams and stakeholders.
  • The designer should be able to select materials, production methods, and finishes to optimize product functionality and cost.
  • Design iteration is a critical part of the process, so the designer should be able to take feedback, testing, and usability studies into consideration.
  • Staying up-to-date with industry trends, tools, and technology in product design is also essential.
Responsibilities:
  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, or a related field.
  • 2–5+ years of professional experience in industrial design (depending on seniority level).
  • Strong portfolio showcasing a range of product design work, including ideation, development, and final outcomes.
  • Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite, SolidWorks, Rhino, KeyShot, and/or Fusion 360.
  • Experience with 3D modeling, rendering, and prototyping.
  • Excellent visual, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and ergonomics.
  • Creative problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Desirable Skills:

  • Experience designing consumer electronics, furniture, appliances, or similar physical products.
  • Familiarity with design for sustainability and lifecycle thinking.
  • Knowledge of UX/UI and human-centered design principles.
  • Experience with rapid prototyping techniques, including 3D printing and CNC machining.
