Manufacturing Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team. This is a fantastic opportunity to design and shape our future production capabilities, using new and innovative technologies and processes.

">

The role involves working in a highly regulated environment, alongside our design teams, technical experts and research centres. You will be responsible for identifying, developing and implementing innovative ways of working, supporting production operations.

">

This role is ideal for candidates with demonstrable experience in working within a manufacturing environment, specifically the design of new production capabilities, transfer of production capabilities and the introduction of new products into existing capabilities. Experience in engineering design for manufacture and working within a supply chain partnership is essential.

  • Experience in a wide range of manufacturing inspection and analytical techniques

  • Identifying, developing and implementing innovative ways of working, commensurate with a new product introduction (NPI)

  • Developing new cutting-edge production capabilities as part of complex infrastructure projects

  • Design to Manufacture experience of process, tooling or equipment including requirements capture and presenting at design reviews

  • Configuration management

  • Tools and software supporting digital manufacturing

  • Process and manufacturing documentation development to support safe systems of work

  • Driving and managing engineering change and transformation within a manufacturing environment

  • Supporting prototype build activities, new technologies and design implementation.

  • Knowledge and understanding of process control and problem investigation tools (PFMEAs, control plans, RCA, A3, 5 whys)

  • Application of Lean Manufacturing Techniques, Value Stream Mapping (VSM), Statistical Process Control (SPC), Continuous Improvement, Quality Tools, Total Productive Maintenance (TPM), Obsolescence Management and Model Based Engineering

You will also have excellent interpersonal and team building skills, capable of building good working relationships within the organisation. Leadership skills, stakeholder engagement and strong communication skills are also essential.
