Senior Data Science Communication Specialist

Overview:

Our organization is seeking a skilled data science professional with a strategic mindset to support leadership teams in shaping, packaging, and communicating AI strategies. This role is ideal for someone who can build executive-level decks, visualize insights, and translate technical content into business value.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and refine AI strategy presentations, vision decks, and executive briefings in collaboration with leadership.

  • Convert complex data science and AI concepts into clear, compelling visuals and narratives tailored for senior stakeholders.

  • Conduct industry and internal research to support storyline development for leadership materials.

  • Create and maintain a library of slide templates, use case summaries, and talking points aligned with business priorities.

  • Collaborate with product, engineering, and analytics teams to gather inputs and validate key insights.

  • Analyze data and model outputs to identify key takeaways and structure them for business audiences.

  • Help track and summarize progress on AI initiatives to support leadership updates and board-level communication.

Qualifications:

  • 2-4 years of experience in data science, analytics, or a strategy-support role involving technical storytelling or executive communications.

  • Strong slide design and storytelling skills - proficiency in PowerPoint, Google Slides, or similar, with a proven ability to create clean, structured, and visually appealing presentations.

  • Solid foundation in data science and machine learning concepts such as regression, clustering, NLP, LLMs, or recommendation systems.

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with experience analyzing and extracting insights from large datasets.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, especially when translating technical content for executive or non-technical audiences.

  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science, Business, or a related field.

  • Experience working cross-functionally and juggling multiple workstreams in a fast-paced environment.

Preferred Skills:

  • Prior experience supporting C-suite communications, board presentations, or internal strategy rollouts.

  • Familiarity with storytelling techniques for consulting-style presentations (e.g., MECE structure, executive summaries).

  • Understanding of AI business use cases and ability to craft narratives around value creation, efficiency, or innovation.

  • Exposure to tools like Tableau, Power BI, Figma, or Notion for visual storytelling or dashboards.

  • Experience with enterprise AI platforms or tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Azure OpenAI, or similar.

  • Background in consulting, corporate strategy, product marketing, or innovation teams is a strong plus.
