SOC Analyst Job Description

Job Summary:

The SOC (Security Operations Center) Analyst plays a critical role in our organization's cybersecurity efforts. We are seeking an experienced and skilled professional to join our team and help us protect our assets from cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Threat Detection and Response: Monitor security event logs, network traffic, and system alerts to identify potential security threats and take prompt action to mitigate them.
  • Incident Investigation: Investigate security incidents, including root cause analysis and recommendation of remediation steps to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with cross-functional teams to address security concerns and implement security measures, providing regular updates and insights to stakeholders.
  • Staying Up-to-Date: Stay current with emerging threats, technologies, and industry best practices to ensure our security posture remains robust and effective.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's or Master's Degree: In Information Security, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 3+ Years of Experience: In a SOC or Cybersecurity Analyst role, with a strong focus on threat analysis and incident response.
  • Technical Expertise: Proficiency in SIEM systems, threat intelligence platforms, intrusion detection and prevention systems, firewall and network security management, endpoint security solutions, vulnerability management and scanning tools, and incident response and forensic analysis tools.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, strong communication and collaboration skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
