Our company is expanding and we need a professional Senior Financial Analyst to manage our financial records. This role will involve working closely with the existing team to create and analyze financial reports, process accounts payable and receivable, manage invoices, and tax payments.

The ideal candidate will have experience in bookkeeping or accounting, a solid understanding of basic bookkeeping and accounts payable/receivable principles, and proficiency in MS Excel. They will be responsible for calculating, posting, and managing accounting figures and financial records, as well as data entry skills.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Record day-to-day financial transactions and complete the posting process.
  • Post invoice batches within the sales module, ensuring accurate deferral of invoices.
  • Prepare AR aging reports and assist in preparation of allowance of doubtful account provision and supporting materials.
  • Send monthly AR statements to customers, process customer payments, and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Coordinate and prepare customer invoices and reconcile monthly invoice activity to ensure completeness and accuracy.
  • Manage all relevant support relating to customer invoices, including executed contracts, purchase orders, and other support materials.
  • Assist in regular reconciliation of AR-related accounts, such as work-in-progress, AR, and deferred revenue.
  • Support state sales tax compliance and other tax requirements.
  • Participate in preparation of internal monthly financial statements related to monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting, adhering to deadlines and maintaining high accuracy standards.
  • Reconcile AP and AR sub-ledgers to the General Ledger.
  • Update quarterly accruals and commitments.
  • Prepare journal entries for month-end close, and process accounts payable by analyzing invoices and coding them correctly.
  • Identify inter-company differences and communicate findings to the local accounting team.
  • Prepare intercompany journals (recharges etc.) as required by the local accounting team.
  • Generate smartview reports from GP to inform various reports.
  • Assist in balance sheet reconciliations and related reports on a monthly basis.
  • Contribute to revenue analysis reports on a monthly basis.
  • Assist with trial balance variance analysis and commentary on a monthly basis.
  • Support quarterly disclosure reporting and templates.
  • Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions in accordance with IFRS, meeting both internal and external timelines.
  • Pursue process improvements to increase efficiency and effectiveness in accounting processes and procedures.
