Job Title: Chief Technology Officer

We are seeking an experienced technology leader to join our leadership team. The ideal candidate has a strong background in software development, preferably with experience in internet and mobile app development, and a track record of coding and technical accomplishments.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement technical solutions across the organization.
  • Write and review code, ensuring high-quality standards.
  • Manage and direct the company's platform services, continuously improving them.
  • Develop APIs and maintain up-to-date knowledge of technology standards and industry trends.
  • Share knowledge and educate stakeholders on the company's technological vision and opportunities.
  • Resolve technical problems in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Supervise recruitment, training, retention, and organization of development staff.
  • Ensure compliance with community expectations and applicable laws and regulations.
  • Establish quality assurance processes and testing regimens.
  • Deploy performance profiling tools and procedures.
  • Manage engineering product plans, schedules, and resources.

Requirements:

  • University degree in computer science or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to envision web-based services that meet consumer needs or solve business problems.
  • 5 years experience managing web application development.
  • 2 years experience with a start-up company or project.
  • Familiarity with programming languages like PHP and/or Ruby.
  • Skill with CSS, XHTML, and AJAX.
  • Knowledge of web standards and Internet protocols.
  • Knowledge of database management systems and revision control systems.
  • Familiarity with information security vulnerabilities and risk management.
