Business Growth Specialist - Payment Solutions

As a key member of the team, this Business Growth Specialist will drive business expansion in the payment industry, focusing on markets in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh. They will lead the negotiation of partnerships with local payment service providers, promote interconnection of payment networks, and ensure compliance with local regulations.

  • This role requires identifying and targeting new business opportunities in the IT, SaaS, and web development sectors to drive revenue growth.
  • Building strong relationships with prospective and existing clients is crucial, ensuring their needs are met and exceeded.
  • The specialist will conduct market research and competitive analysis to inform strategic decision-making and identify industry trends.
  • Developing compelling presentations and proposals tailored to client needs is essential for showcasing our solutions effectively.
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including marketing and product development, ensures alignment on business goals.
  • Negotiating contracts and closing deals is critical, ensuring terms are favorable for both the company and the client.
  • Utilizing CRM tools to track sales activities, manage customer interactions, and generate reports for performance analysis is vital.
  • Representing the company at industry events and networking functions helps build a robust professional network.
  • Providing feedback to management on market dynamics and customer preferences informs product development.


• Market research and strategy development


• In-depth analysis of India (UPI, Paytm), Pakistan (JazzCash, EasyPaisa), Bangladesh payment markets


• The payment market structure of bKash, Nagad, including bank transfer, e-wallet, mobile payment, and cross-border payment


• Study local regulatory policies (such as Indian RBI and Pakistan Central Bank regulations) and compliance requirements


• Payment channel expansion and cooperation


• Establishing partnerships with local payment service providers (Paytm, UPI, JazzCash, Nagad, bKash, etc.)


• Promoting interconnection of payment networks with banks, fintech companies, and telecom operators


• Business negotiation and contract management


• Leading negotiations of key terms such as rates, settlement cycles, and technical docking


• Responsible for signing cooperation agreements and subsequent execution management


• Collaborating with product and technical teams to promote API connection, testing, and launch of payment channels


• Cooperating with the marketing team to develop localized payment promotion strategies

Required Skills and Qualifications:


• More than 3 years of BD experience in the payment industry, familiar with the payment markets in India, Pakistan, and Bangladesh

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in business development, specifically within IT, SaaS, or web development industries.
  • Proven track record of successfully driving sales and achieving targets in a competitive environment.
  • Strong understanding of IT solutions, SaaS models, and the web development landscape.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to articulate complex concepts simply.
  • Demonstrated negotiation skills with a knack for closing deals and fostering long-term partnerships.
  • Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, HubSpot) to manage client relationships and sales pipelines effectively.
  • Self-motivated and goal-oriented, with a proactive approach to identifying and leveraging business opportunities.
  • Culturally aware and adaptable, with the ability to work in a diverse environment and build relationships across borders.
  • Fluency in English; additional languages relevant to target markets are highly desirable.
