The Department of Environmental Sciences is seeking highly motivated and qualified candidates for two PhD Studentship positions under a HEC funded project.
Job OverviewThis opportunity offers the chance to work on a research project that focuses on rice residue management practices, aiming to mitigate smog and ensure sustainable food production.
Key ResponsibilitiesAs a PhD Student or Research Assistant, you will be responsible for:
- Conducting research on soil biogeochemistry, nutrient cycling, and crop management practices;
- Collecting and analyzing data related to soil health and organic carbon dynamics;
- Developing and implementing alternative rice residue management strategies;
You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with other researchers and contribute to the development of innovative solutions for sustainable agriculture.
RequirementsTo be considered for this role, you must meet the following qualifications:
- PhD students enrolled in the Department of Environmental Sciences;
- Candidates with strong knowledge of soil biogeochemistry, nutrient cycling, soil organic carbon dynamics, soil health, and crop management practices (preferred);
- MPhil degree in Environmental Sciences or equivalent (for Research Assistant position);
This opportunity offers:
