Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure efficient and courteous restaurant operations by greeting arriving customers and assigning them to their tables.
  • Solicit rapport with guests, issue menus, and accommodate special needs or requests to ensure exceptional customer service.
  • Maintain a visible presence in the restaurant throughout your shift, assisting servers and responding to customer requests.
  • Process payments accurately on the computerized cash register and verify the accuracy of all items on guest checks.
  • Collect feedback from departing customers to improve operations and maximize revenues.
  • Distribute and account for checks issued to servers during the shift and balance cash register reports at the end of each shift.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 3 months of experience in a position with heavy cash handling responsibilities and customer service exposure.
  • High school graduate level mathematical aptitude, standard cash handling procedures knowledge, and computerized cash register systems understanding.
  • General knowledge of basic customer service skills, restaurant operations, and food service principles.

You will also need to possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work well under pressure.
