Network Security Expert

We are seeking a highly skilled Network Security Engineer to join our team. As a Network Security Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring firewalls, managing network security, and providing expertise in Palo Alto Networks, VPN, Python/Ansible automation, and Google Cloud Platform (GCP).

The role involves defining access privileges, control structures, and resources, and configuring firewalls and intrusion prevention systems (IPS) to protect the system.

  • Responsibilities:
  • Identify thresholds and report violations to recognize issues.
  • Assess the existing landscape and anticipate requirements to implement security improvements.
  • Evaluate, upgrade, and support network infrastructure (patch and maintenance).
  • Design, plan, and prototype a Google Cloud Network infrastructure.
  • Implement, review, and maintain strong access controls and identity roles within cloud infrastructure.
  • Provide technical expertise on trends and emerging standards in network security for public clouds and private network infrastructure.
  • Work closely with team members to enhance, implement, and configure scalable network security technologies that improve detection and response.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 7-10 years of experience with Palo Alto Firewalls, routing, and VPN technologies.
  • Mandatory experience with Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
  • Skills in network automation tools and scripting languages like Python and Ansible.
  • Hold certifications in Palo Alto Networks (PCNSE) for added expertise.
  • Certifications in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) are an added advantage.
  • Strong practical knowledge of network concepts like Firewall Monitoring, Policy Creation, VPN Creation, Proxy, Python Automation, IPS, IDS, VPC (Virtual Private Cloud), BGP, OSPF, DNS, DHCP, VPN, Network Protocols, Network Configuration, Link Aggregation, NAT, ACL, MPLS, ISP related issues, etc.
