Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee field engineers to ensure adherence to safety, quality, and environmental policies.
  • Coordinate activities to facilitate efficient maintenance and operational tasks across various plant systems.
  • Assist in monitoring the activities of field engineers to ensure operations align with organizational safety and environmental policies.
  • Support the implementation of safety rules and monitor maintenance jobs in assigned areas under the guidance of the Field Senior Engineer.
  • Report unsafe conditions and behaviors to maintain a safe work environment.
  • Aid in overseeing field engineers as they perform regular checks of plant equipment, ensuring effective completion of monitoring activities and log completions.
  • Assist in operational tasks such as valve operations, equipment startup/shutdown, resetting local alarms, and handling local emergencies under senior coordination staff direction.
  • Help oversee daily critical maintenance activities and review associated permits according to HSE safety documents system, reporting any deficiencies.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/Electrical/Civil Engineering or related field from reputable university.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving ability and analytical thinking skills.
  • Good understanding of power/energy and water sectors, emerging trends, and technologies.
  • Proficiency in English (required) and Arabic (desired).
  • Demonstrated hands-on operational and implementation experience.
  • Ability to collaborate and work with key stakeholders, executives, management team, and external partners/advisors through teamwork.
  • Good communication and presentation skills.
  • Familiarity with Qatar and GCC culture and working environment.
Experience:

Six years of experience as a Field Operator in large Combine Cycle Power Plant.
