The Business Intelligence Analyst Leader is a strategic role responsible for developing and delivering accurate, timely, and actionable insights to support business decision-making. This position oversees the operational and technical aspects of the platform, manages a team of analysts and developers, and ensures high availability, disaster recovery, and system performance.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational & Technical Leadership:
    • Manage and strategize the development, maintenance, and optimization of data models, InfoProviders, and data flows.
    • Manage end-to-end BI project delivery, from requirement gathering to post-implementation support, ensuring successful delivery aligned with business needs.
    • Ensure data governance, data quality, and security across all analytics platforms.
    • Collaborate with business units to develop and deliver dashboards, KPIs, and reports supporting both operational and strategic objectives.
    • Integrate the front-end tools like SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC), QlikView/Qlik Sense, and Power BI with backend data pipeline.
    • Monitor system performance, resolve technical issues, and coordinate with infrastructure and Basis teams for upgrades and patches.
    • Manage service level agreements (SLAs), support requests, enhancements, and change requests.
    • Lead the design and execution of BI and analytics strategies aligned with enterprise goals, including transformation projects such as S/4HANA migration and data modernization initiatives.
  • SAC Development & Advanced Analytics:
    • Lead and implement of SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) projects within the SAP ecosystem, including the development of CDS Views, BW Queries, and the creation of interactive SAC Stories and Dashboards.
    • Using SAC Planning feature, develop financial budgeting and planning models on SAC, including CAPEX and OPEX planning processes.
    • Implement process control for enterprise planning by designing Data Actions, Multi Actions, and scripting Extended Stories (Analytic Applications) using JavaScript.
  • People & Vendor Management:
    • Manage and technically enable internal team members, nurturing a culture of data-driven decision-making and continuous learning.
    • Coordinate with external vendors and managed service providers to ensure timely and efficient project delivery and support.
    • Oversee vendor contracts and ensure adherence to service level agreements, with a focus on achieving optimal service and performance.

The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of SAP data sources, data extraction, and reporting architecture, as well as experience in managing BI projects and leading cross-functional teams. In-depth knowledge of data warehousing best practices, performance optimization, and data modeling is also essential.

This is a mid-senior level full-time position in the information technology field, with a utilities industry focus.
