About the Role

The University of Faisalabad is seeking a Residential Life Coordinator to provide pastoral care, intellectual guidance, and support to students living in the hostel. This role involves creating a homely atmosphere, maintaining discipline, and ensuring the overall well-being of residents.

Main Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain an attendance register and verify student attendance at 3:00 pm daily.
  2. Plan for upgrading hostel facilities and services to enhance the quality of life for residents.
  3. Ensure discipline within and around the hostel premises by setting clear expectations and consequences.
  4. Act as custodian of hostel properties and verify inventory periodically to prevent loss or damage.
  5. Keep records of authorized individuals allowed to pick up or drop off students for safety and security purposes.
  6. Develop a schedule for activities, including meals, study time, and leisure activities that cater to diverse interests and needs.
  7. Manage common areas with TV, newspapers, and periodicals to promote relaxation and entertainment.
  8. Organize indoor games and events that foster socialization and community building.
  9. Provide guidance on basic life skills, such as personal hygiene and time management, to support students' academic and personal success.
  10. Foster an atmosphere of higher learning, respect, and excellent etiquette among residents.
  11. Enforce hostel rules and regulations to maintain a safe and respectful environment.
  12. Supervise domestic staff and coordinate their work to ensure efficient service delivery.
  13. Verify student leave passes and monitor their departures and arrivals to prevent unauthorized absences.
  14. Promote healthy lifestyle practices among students, including regular prayer, punctuality, and dedication to studies, to support their physical and mental well-being.
  15. Ensure proper waste disposal and maintain a record of emergency contact numbers for quick response in case of emergencies.
  16. Monitor electrical appliance usage and visitor records to prevent safety hazards and unauthorized access.
  17. Inspect rooms daily and ensure dress code compliance to maintain a neat and respectable appearance.
  18. Secure student safety and prevent unauthorized activities that may compromise their well-being.
  19. Keep a duplicate key box and regularly check rooms for objectionable items to prevent misconduct.
  20. Prevent substance abuse, smoking, and the use of intoxicating drugs within the hostel to promote a healthy and safe environment.
  21. Discourage participation in politics and unwanted external influences to maintain a neutral and respectful atmosphere.
  22. Be vigilant about the presence of weapons or firearms within the hostel to prevent harm and danger.
  23. Establish a student committee to focus on personal growth, education, and community development to empower students and promote engagement.
  24. Organize a mess committee to oversee food purchasing and supplies to ensure efficient service delivery and quality food.
  25. Maintain kitchen cleanliness and inform the cook of any deficiencies to prevent food-borne illnesses and maintain a clean environment.
  26. Notify students of meal times and utensil return requirements to promote responsible behavior and cleanliness.

Requirements:

A minimum Bachelor's degree and 2-3 years of relevant experience, with proficiency in MS Office and computer skills.

Salary Package: Commensurate with qualification and experience.
