Job Title

A leading academic and clinical expert will be responsible for managing and supervising the clinical and academic activities of a department.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Lectures and Assessments: Deliver high-quality lectures, seminars, and practical skills training to students, evaluating their progress according to the curriculum.
  • Postgraduate Training: Facilitate postgraduate trainees in clinical presentations, case-based teaching, journal clubs, and preparation for exams, providing guidance and support.
  • Conferences and Research: Assist in organizing clinical meetings and conferences with other organizations, facilitating research and development through continuous education and collaboration.
  • Patient Care: Convey knowledge on common patient care problems, including emergency treatment, to develop clinical and practical skills of students, ensuring patient safety and well-being.
  • Examinations and OPDs: Assist in conducting examinations and manage regular OPD sessions for continuing medical care, maintaining accurate records and monitoring patient outcomes.
  • Clinical Rounds and Procedures: Conduct regular ward rounds, manage indoor patients, and perform medical procedures under supervision, adhering to established protocols and guidelines.
  • Specialist Advice: Provide specialist advice on medical problems referred from other departments, utilizing expertise and judgment to ensure optimal patient care.
  • On-Call Commitments: Ensure on-call cover for critical patients round the clock, responding promptly to emergencies and ensuring continuity of care.
  • Duty Rota and Staff Management: Prepare and monitor duty rota, manage staff placement issues, and maintain liaison with hospital administration, promoting effective communication and teamwork.
  • Ethics and Compliance: Adhere to Islamic and medical ethics as per our mission statement, upholding the highest standards of integrity and professionalism.
