Job Title: Senior Business Intelligence AnalystOverview:

This role requires a senior business intelligence analyst to oversee the development and implementation of plans for improving business intelligence in an organization. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining framework manager models to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain framework manager models to support business requirements.
  • Develop and implement plans for improving business intelligence in the organization.
  • Design, develop, test, and maintain Cognos dashboards, scorecards, reports, and queries based on user requirements.
  • Develop, support, and monitor data warehouses using Extract, Transform, and Load (ETL).
  • Collaborate with power users of the reporting tool to advise on best practices for using business intelligence effectively.
  • Ensure that scheduled jobs are successfully run and analytics data aligns to timeliness and completeness requirements.
  • Tune databases used for reporting to optimize performance.
  • Write efficient SQL and stored procedures against database tables on various platforms for data validation.
  • Profile and analyze data during report development.
  • Install, upgrade, configure, and administer BI products/patches/upgrades to the environment.
Requirements:
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a related field.
  • Proficiency in Cognos BI product suite (Report Studio, Analysis Studio, Query Studio, etc.).
  • Proficiency in Oracle Report Builder.
  • Experience in performance tuning related to reporting queries.
  • Understanding of data integration issues (validation and cleaning), familiarity with complex data and structures.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills for working in project environments.
  • Strong analytical, conceptual, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Programming/scripting experience and knowledge of software development life cycle is preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field is desirable. Equivalent combination of experience, education, and training will be considered.
