About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Staff Software Engineer to lead our data-driven initiatives and develop innovative solutions that empower teams across the organization.

As a key member of our team, you will design and build high-volume data pipelines and systems, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and drive the vision for our big data platform.

  • Design and build scalable data pipelines and systems using distributed systems knowledge.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand changing requirements and incorporate them in the roadmap.

  • Drive the technical strategy for how we can better equip engineers and leaders with Data Platform.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or information technology.

  • 8+ years of experience working with data systems and microservices.

  • Solid knowledge in distributed systems.

  • Good understanding of algorithms and data structures.

  • Experience automating, scripting, and streamlining processes for efficiency and accuracy.

  • Experience with the overall big data ecosystem.

  • Some experience with AWS with knowledge of S3, EC2, IAM, Security, Lambda, Networking, etc.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and operating platforms with Spark, Spark SQL, Parquet and Iceberg.

  • Ability and experience with the development of processes and procedures, selecting and implementing coding methodologies within your team.

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
