Senior Merchandiser Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Merchandiser to join our team. This individual will be responsible for handling end-to-end knit product development, ensuring quality, vendor suitability, competitive pricing, and timely delivery.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support product development, costing, and price negotiations with suppliers.
  • Assist in sampling approval processes, ensuring timely submissions and proper execution.
  • Frequently check on the status of Work-in-Progress (WIP) and report delivery updates.
  • Collaborate with buyers, suppliers, and merchandising teams to negotiate prices, quantities, and schedules.
  • Maintain customer interest while preserving margin levels.
  • BUILD strong relationships with customers, suppliers, and channel partners.
  • Evaluate vendor factories' inspection timeliness.
  • Coordinate with vendors for bookings and ensure cargo handover is done promptly.
  • Ensure suppliers provide shipping documents immediately after shipments.
  • Regularly report to business leaders as needed.
  • Manage ad-hoc projects such as vendor compliance and documentation.
  • Communicate production and shipment statuses with buyers and merchant teams.
  • Adhere to guidelines for assigned product categories and serve as a key communication link within the business stream.
  • Coordinate operational activities including proto sample development, costing, production tracking, fabric and trim development, and WIP updates.
  • Negotiate prices with suppliers as designated by senior merchandisers or managers.
  • Monitor critical production paths, forecast delays, and implement corrective actions to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Identify and resolve production issues, working with suppliers to propose alternatives.
  • Oversee production in assigned factories, liaising with QA and factory management for quality, inspections, and deadlines.
