Video Editor Job Description

We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Video Editor to help us produce engaging video content for our audience.

The ideal candidate will have experience in video editing, a strong understanding of animation techniques, and the ability to transform scripts into compelling video content.

  • Edit and assemble recorded footage into a polished final product according to provided scripts.
  • Create attention-grabbing animations that enhance storytelling and explain complex concepts.
  • Collaborate with our team to develop and execute video concepts and styles.
  • Optimize our videos for YouTube, including appropriate formatting and SEO practices.
  • Stay current with the latest developments in video editing and animation.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in video editing, preferably for online platforms or similar environments.
  • Proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro) and animation software (e.g., Adobe After Effects, Blender).
  • Strong understanding of video production processes, including sound design and color grading.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset.

Technical Skills
  • Proficiency in video editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of motion graphics and visual effects software like After Effects, Blender, or similar.

  • Ability to work with different file formats, codecs, and resolutions.

  • Strong storytelling skills and the ability to transform raw footage into engaging content.
  • Understanding of pacing, music synchronization, and audio balancing.

YouTube Knowledge
