Quality Assurance Officer

Job Summary:

This is a unique opportunity for an experienced Quality Assurance professional to join our team in a dynamic and challenging role. As a Quality Assurance Officer, you will be responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures within the work area.

You will also provide guidance on the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of QA procedures, including training and information sessions for staff. In addition, you will work closely with those responsible for managing risk, health, and safety and patient experience within the hospital.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Policies and Procedures: Develop and implement policies, procedures, work instructions, and standard operating procedures within the work area consistent with quality assurance, work, health, and safety guidelines.
  • QA Procedure Development: Provide guidance on the development, implementation, monitoring, and review of QA procedures.
  • Training and Information Sessions: Deliver training and information sessions for staff on QA procedures.
  • Risk Management: Work closely with those responsible for managing risk, health, and safety and patient experience within the hospital.
  • Quality Improvement Plan: Develop, implement, and monitor the hospital's quality improvement plan.
  • Data Collection: Collect quality and safety-related data through various means such as audit, accreditation reviews, incident reports, staff and patient feedback.
  • Education and Support: Provide information and facilitate education to support patient safety, quality improvement, and assurance and clinical risk management.
  • Operational Responsibility: Ensure direct reports effectively manage their areas of operational responsibility.
  • Internal Trainings and Audits: Participate in internal trainings and help determine the objective scope of internal audits and develop annual action plans.
