Operations Manager Position

Job Summary:
">This position is responsible for overseeing the manufacturing operation to achieve agreed targets on volume, cost, safety, quality, and other key performance indicators (KPIs).
">Main Responsibilities:
">- To plan making and packing operations on the production floor to meet volume, quality, output reliability, cost, and safety targets.
- To receive raw materials and manage inventory levels to minimize waste and optimize usage.
- To organize and control labor resources, including operators, technicians, and contractors, to ensure optimal staffing levels and skills.
- To monitor material consumption and yield to identify areas for improvement and reduce waste levels.
- To supervise stock counts, transactions, and general housekeeping activities to maintain a safe and efficient working environment.
- To ensure workers wear personal protective equipment (PPE) and adhere to safety, health, and environmental protocols.
- To drive autonomous maintenance activities on the shop floor to improve equipment reliability and efficiency.
- To implement best practices such as total productive maintenance (TPM), hazard analysis critical control points (HACCP), and audit recommendations to enhance operational performance.
- To identify skill gaps and provide training for team members to develop their skills and competencies.
- To continuously improve operations by identifying areas for process development and implementing changes to increase efficiency and productivity.
Requirements:
">- A minimum of a bachelor's degree in engineering or sciences, with relevant experience in production floor management preferably in an FMCG company.
- Strong leadership skills, ability to motivate and direct teams, and expertise in supply chain operations, particularly in planning and SAP systems.
- Familiarity with manufacturing processes, including safety, health, and environmental regulations, and ability to manage complex projects and priorities.
