Job Title: Engineering Manager

Engineering Managers play a pivotal role in driving AI feature reliability and performance. They oversee the development of high-performing engineering teams focused on AI system reliability.

A reliable AI system is crucial for businesses to make informed decisions, drive innovation, and stay competitive. By leading efforts to detect, diagnose, and mitigate failures and degradation across AI features in production, Engineering Managers ensure seamless user experiences.

Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Build and manage high-performing engineering teams focused on AI system reliability.
  • Failure Detection and Mitigation: Lead efforts to detect, diagnose, and mitigate failures and degradation across AI features in production.
  • Tool Design: Design tools and processes to surface anomalies and performance regressions.
  • Initiative Driving: Drive initiatives to improve monitoring, observability, and data quality.
  • Data Analysis and Workflow Oversight: Oversee data analysis and AI system workflows to improve model performance.
  • Documentation Development: Develop technical documentation for AI workflows, ensuring clarity and efficiency.
  • Performance Monitoring: Monitor key AI performance metrics and implement optimization strategies.
Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience managing high-performing engineering teams, preferably in AI or ML infrastructure.
  • Strong understanding of AI feature development lifecycles, data pipelines, and model debugging.
  • Proven experience with root cause analysis, reliability engineering, or debugging complex systems.
  • Strong analytical mindset and ability to dig deep into data.
  • Experience working cross-functionally with researchers, product managers, customer success, and support teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
