Accounting and finance professionals play a crucial role in the success of any organization, and we are seeking an experienced Head Accountant to join our team. This individual will be responsible for overseeing all financial management activities, including daily transactions, monthly closings, tax compliance, and statutory filings.

The ideal candidate will have in-depth knowledge of Pakistani accounting standards, tax laws, SECP regulations, and construction/project-based accounting principles. They must also possess excellent leadership skills to establish and manage the Accounting Department effectively.

Some key responsibilities of this role include:

  • Setting up and structuring the Accounts Department personnel, systems, and processes
  • Designing and implementing financial control systems and internal policies
  • Developing accounting workflows for project-based operations, BOQs, project costing, supplier billing, etc.

Financial accounting and reporting are critical functions that require meticulous attention to detail and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing day-to-day accounting functions, preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, and maintaining accurate project-wise financial records.

Taxation and compliance are essential aspects of this role, requiring expertise in filing sales tax returns, handling withholding tax deductions, and ensuring timely income tax return filing. Additionally, the candidate will need to liaise with FBR, PRA, SECP, and external auditors as necessary.

Project and procurement accounting involve coordinating with procurement and project teams to validate supplier invoices and GRNs, implementing project-based cost tracking and budgeting, and maintaining records for LCs, import documentation, and payment schedules.

Payroll and HR coordination require overseeing salary calculations, advances, EOBI/SS contributions, and compliance, maintaining staff financial records, and assisting in HR cost planning.
