Financial Crime Prevention Specialist

HugoBank is seeking a skilled Transaction Monitoring and Sanction Screening professional to join our Compliance team.

About the Role:

  • Key Responsibilities:
    • Analyze alerts generated by the TMS for unusual or suspicious activity.
    • Investigate flagged transactions and escalate findings to senior management or relevant authorities as necessary.
    • Document investigation results and maintain proper records for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Sanction Screening Expertise:
    • Screen customer data against sanctions, watchlists, and politically exposed persons (PEP) databases.
    • Investigate and resolve matches or discrepancies.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field such as finance, accounting, or business administration.
  • Proven experience in financial crime prevention, transaction monitoring, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work effectively in a team environment.
