Mid Level Quality Assurance Specialist

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented QA Executive with 3-5 years of experience in manual software testing. This role is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level QA professional to grow and contribute to impactful projects in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and test strategies to ensure software meets quality standards.
2. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand functional and non-functional requirements.
Test Execution:
1. Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
2. Identify, document, and track defects using defect tracking tools.
3. Validate bug fixes and execute re-tests to ensure issue resolution.
Quality Assurance:
1. Ensure adherence to established QA methodologies and best practices.
2. Contribute to the improvement of QA processes to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
3. Participate in peer reviews of test cases and test results.
Collaboration and Communication:
1. Work closely with development, product management, and design teams to clarify requirements and resolve issues.
2. Provide regular updates on testing progress, quality metrics, and potential risks to stakeholders.
Documentation and Reporting:
1. Maintain proper documentation of test cases, test results, and defect reports.
2. Prepare clear and concise test execution reports for management and stakeholders.
Requirements:
Qualification and Experience:
1. 3-5 years of hands-on experience in manual software testing.
2. Solid understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
3. Proficiency in creating and executing test cases, test plans, and test scripts.
4. Experience with defect tracking tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
5. Familiarity with test management tools and their application.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail.
7. Good communication and organizational skills to work effectively in a team environment.
Preferred Skills:
1. Basic knowledge of test automation tools is a plus.
2. Exposure to Agile methodologies like Scrum or Kanban.
3. Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and their role in the testing process.
4. Familiarity with performance testing concepts and tools.
5. Awareness of industry-specific compliance standards.
