Job Description

As a Lead Architect at a renowned financial institution, you will be an integral part of a team that develops high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications on modern cloud-based technologies. This role involves conducting critical architecture solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of project goals.

Your responsibilities will include engaging with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical approaches to meet current and future needs, defining the technical target state of products and driving achievement of strategies, participating in architecture governance bodies, evaluating recommendations and providing feedback on new technologies, executing creative software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting, developing secure and high-quality production code, and reviewing and debugging code written by others.

Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills

  • Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
  • Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
  • Advanced in one or more programming language(s)
  • Proficiency in automation and continuous delivery methods
  • Proficient in all aspects of the Software Development Life Cycle
  • Advanced understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
  • Demonstrated proficiency in software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
  • In-depth knowledge of the financial services industry and their IT systems
  • Practical cloud native experience
  • Advanced knowledge of one or more software, applications, and architecture disciplines
  • Ability to evaluate current and emerging technologies to recommend the best solutions for the future state architecture
