About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Accounting Manager to oversee daily accounting operations, ensure accurate financial reporting, and manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities include:

Financial Operations:
  1. Oversight of daily accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
  2. Maintenance of accurate and up-to-date financial records in compliance with IFRS and relevant GAAP standards.
  3. Supervision of journal entries, account reconciliations, and month-end closing activities.
Financial Reporting:
  1. Preparation and accuracy of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
  2. Guidance on the application and interpretation of IFRS and GAAP principles for accurate financial reporting.
  3. Collaboration with relevant teams to align financial reporting with company strategic goals.
Stakeholder Management:
  1. Management of relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers and other financial partners.
  2. Closely working with the finance team and other departments to support overall financial goals and objectives.
Compliance and Risk Management:
  1. Staying updated on latest IFRS/GAAP pronouncements to ensure our accounting policies and financial statement templates comply with new adoptions and reporting needs.
  2. Ensuring compliance with all applicable accounting standards, laws, and regulations.
  3. Monitoring and managing financial risks, including credit, operational, and compliance risks.
Audit Support:
  1. Supporting audit processes, including quarterly, statutory, and consolidated audits by providing necessary documentation and information.
  2. Collaborating with the audit team to ensure quality and consistency of audit work related to financial reporting.
  3. Assisting in preparing clear and comprehensive audit reports addressing IFRS and GAAP compliance for presentation to executive management.

Requirements include:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance; professional certification such as CA, CPA, or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  2. Minimum 7 years experience in accounting and financial reporting, including at least 4 years in a managerial capacity. Prior experience in technology or ride-hailing company preferred.
  3. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with Power BI and SQL is a plus.
  4. Strong knowledge of IFRS and experience in a global complex organization.
  5. Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  6. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
