Job Title: Education and Gender Policies Consultant

This is a unique opportunity to support the School Education Department (SED) in formulating strategic policy documents. The primary objective of this consultancy is to develop two interrelated policies: a revised Education Policy and a standalone Gender Equality in Education Policy for the province of Balochistan.

About the Consultancy
  • This consultancy aims to formulate two critical policy instruments: a revised Provincial Education Policy and a dedicated Provincial Gender Equality in Education Policy.
About the Job

The consultant will support the development of these policy instruments, working closely with the IIEP-UNESCO team coordinator. The role involves reviewing existing policy documents, conducting data analysis, and facilitating consultative meetings with provincial and sub-provincial key stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing existing policy documents and data
  • Co-preparing and co-facilitating inclusive consultative meetings
  • Conducting comprehensive data analysis and stakeholder consultations
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 15 years of relevant professional experience in gender-responsive education policy development and sector planning
  • Demonstrated ability to draft high-level policy documents and reports
  • Familiarity with the education landscape of Pakistan or similar contexts
  • Excellent analytical, drafting, and communication skills
