Job Title:

Warehouse Operations Manager

Job Description:

  • Oversee the daily operations of a warehouse, ensuring all tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
  • Manage a team of employees, coordinating inventory transfers, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Human Resource Management: Select, orient, train, assign, schedule, coach, counsel, and discipline employees; communicate job expectations; plan, monitor, appraise job contributions; recommend compensation actions; adhere to policies and procedures.
  • Warehouse Operations: Contribute warehouse information to strategic plans and reviews; implement production, productivity, quality, and customer-service standards; resolve problems; identify warehouse system improvements.
  • Financial Management: Provide annual budget information; monitor expenditures; identify variances; implement corrective actions.
  • Inventory Management: Schedule materials to be moved to and from warehouse; coordinate inventory transfers with related departments.
  • Supply Chain: Receive and transfer items to departments.
  • Storage and Maintenance: Organize floor space; adhere to storage design principles; recommend improvements.
  • Inventory Control: Conduct monthly physical counts; reconcile variances; input data.
  • Security: Turn alarms on; test systems.
  • Equipment Maintenance: Enforce operating instructions; troubleshoot breakdowns; require preventive maintenance; call for repairs.
  • Professional Development: Participate in educational opportunities; read technical publications.

Requirements:

  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
