Backend Software Developer

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Backend Software Developer to join our ride-hailing team. In this role, you will design and develop scalable, high-performance backend systems that power our platform.

Our ideal candidate has a strong background in Java, with experience in Spring Frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data. A working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, UNIX-based operating systems, and Microservices is also required.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record of developing and designing RESTful APIs, as well as a strong understanding of object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns, SOLID principles, transaction management, and development best practices.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop state-of-the-art software that is efficient, scalable, and durable.
  • Enhance and maintain our Java platform, building new Microservices.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to ensure full-stack functionality and architecture.
Requirements:
  • BS degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent.
  • 2-4 years of commercial experience in Java.
  • Proven experience of Spring Frameworks including Spring Boot, Spring Security, and Spring Data.
  • A working knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, AWS, UNIX-based operating systems, and Microservices.
  • Experience working with relational DBs such as MySQL and noSQL DBs such as MongoDB.
  • Sound knowledge of AWS.
  • Experience developing and designing RESTful API.
  • A strong knowledge of object-oriented design, data structures, design patterns, SOLID principles, transaction management, and development best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a flexible, proactive/self-motivated working style.
  • Good understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git.
  • Knowledge of static and dynamic code analysis and CICD pipeline.
