Job Title: Database Administrator

As a skilled database administrator, you will be responsible for ensuring the performance, integrity and security of a database. You will be involved in the planning and development of the database, as well as in troubleshooting any issues. Your role will also include transforming data for various reporting and migration needs.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Database Performance and Security: Install and maintain databases to ensure optimal performance and security.
  • Optimization and Development: Develop processes for optimizing database security and set and maintain database standards.
  • Reporting and Visualization: Create and manage database reports, visualizations, and dashboards.
  • Data Warehousing: Create and manage data warehouses for custom reports via third party APIs.
  • Data Storage and Management: Guarantee that data is stored securely and optimally, and manage database access.
  • Performance Tuning: Perform performance tuning of database systems and minimize downtime.
Qualifications and Skills:
  • Technical Expertise: Strong command of SQL and advanced knowledge of database security, backup and recovery, and performance monitoring standards.
  • Mathematical and Statistical Knowledge: Understanding of relational and dimensional data modeling, and strong mathematical and statistical knowledge.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills and impeccable attention to detail.
  • Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in computer science or a related field, and three to five years of experience in database administration, information technology, database architecture, or a related field.
  • Hands-on Experience: Proven working experience as a Database Administrator, hands-on experience with database standards and end user applications, excellent knowledge of data backup, recovery, security, integrity and SQL, familiarity with database design, documentation and coding, experience with Windows Server environments, and extensive experience with database technologies (MS SQL required).
Requirements:
  • Technical Requirements: Experience with cloud services (AWS, Microsoft Azure) a plus.
