Financial Accounting Leader

This role is responsible for leading the financial accounting process for a variety of subsidiaries. As a member of the Controllership organization, the individual performing this job will have responsibilities for overall data integrity of items such as financial statements, account reconciliation, and other related duties.

The Financial Accounting Leader will be responsible for ensuring the integrity of financial statements by defining accounting procedures in compliance with local accounting policies. They will also run SAP reports required to review Income Statement, Balance Sheets, and Trial Balances. Additionally, they will perform account reconciliations, analyze trends, complete fluctuation analysis, compare USGAAP and local books, and analyze differences. The Financial Accounting Leader will follow-up on unusual items, review and approve significant or unusual accounting entries, and ensure corrections are correctly recorded.

The ideal candidate should have experience in financial accounting and be able to identify root causes of issues and discover/implement practical solutions. They should also be open to proposing new ideas to improve existing work processes and help drive change to reduce complexity. Technical accounting competency and initiative and leadership competencies are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure the integrity of financial statements for the legal entity under their responsibility.
  • Perform account reconciliations of the accounts under their ownership.
  • Act as focal point for external financial and statutory filings necessary to meet internal auditing and governmental requirements.
  • Ensure timely and successful completion of the external audit of the Financial Statements.
  • Produce the Income Statement Forecast (ISF) at a legal entity level.
  • Act as consultant to Area sub-process Controllers and other Finance processes in the region on financial accounting and internal control matters.

Requirements:

  • CA or Semi- Qualified Accountant with experience.
  • 0 to 2 years' experience for a Qualified Accountant and 2 to 4 years experience for a semi-qualified Accountant.
