Quality Assurance Manager Job Description

We are seeking a Quality Assurance Manager to lead our quality assurance activities and deliver robust, reliable software solutions. This is a mid-senior level position that requires significant experience in manual and automated testing, regression and API testing, and comprehensive knowledge of the software testing lifecycle.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing test strategies, plans, and cases for both manual and automated testing approaches. They will oversee functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing for diverse product lines and releases. The candidate will also design and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to maximize test coverage and efficiency.

This role collaborates cross-functionally with product, development, and operations teams to drive high standards of quality and process excellence. The selected individual will work in a fast-paced, agile environment and be required to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain test strategies, detailed plans, and test cases for both manual and automated testing approaches.
  • Oversee and execute functional, regression, integration, system, and API testing for diverse product lines and releases.
  • Design and maintain automation frameworks and scripts to maximize test coverage and efficiency.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to define acceptance criteria, promptly resolve defects, and advocate for product quality.
  • Analyze requirements and identify comprehensive test scenarios ensuring all testing phases are addressed.
  • Lead defect triage meetings, prioritize defect resolution based on business impact, and validate fixes.
  • Continuously improve QA processes, methodologies, and toolsets to align with industry best practices.
  • Mentor junior QA team members and cultivate a culture of quality throughout the organization.
  • Provide transparent reporting on quality metrics, testing progress, and risk assessments to all stakeholders.
  • Stay up-to-date with emerging trends and best practices in software testing and QA management.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications in QA or testing methodologies (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE, CSQA) are highly desirable.
