Hospice care organizations require skilled professionals to manage medical billing and claims processing. As a Medical Billing Specialist - Claims and Payments Coordinator, you will play a critical role in ensuring timely and accurate data entry of payments received from third-party payers.
Main Responsibilities- Process all rejected and denied claims submitted to third-party payers, utilizing EOB or EOP CPT AND ICD 10 codes to resolve issues efficiently.
- Reconcile daily cash receipts from insurance carriers with database records and submit reports to supervisors at the end of each workday.
- Enter pertinent patient information/details into the Health Center database completely and accurately.
- Familiarize yourself with commercial insurance, Medicare, and Medicaid denials, using problem-solving skills to follow up on these issues.
- A minimum of 3 years' experience in medical billing, including working with various billing software applications.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills in English, as well as basic computer skills.
