Job Description

The medical billing specialist plays a critical role in the revenue cycle management of our organization. The primary responsibility of this position is to ensure accurate and timely submission of electronic and paper claims.

Beyond claim processing, this role involves:

  • Credentialing: Manage provider enrollment and credentialing processes with insurance companies, ensuring all provider information is up-to-date and accurate.
  • Client Onboarding: Guide new clients through the onboarding process, facilitating a seamless transition and addressing client-specific needs.
  • Integration: Integrate client systems with our medical billing software, troubleshooting and resolving any integration issues that arise.
  • Supervision: Oversee the management of rejected and denied claims, accounts receivable, and payment postings.
  • Billing: Generate accurate and timely invoices based on sales orders or contracts, ensuring billing information matches the terms of the sale.
  • Accounts Receivable: Monitor incoming payments from clients/customers, follow up on overdue payments, and coordinate with clients to resolve billing issues.
  • Customer Service: Address client inquiries related to billing and payments, providing excellent customer service to maintain positive relationships.
