Responsibilities

  1. Civil Works Planning

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning civil works using construction management techniques to ensure projects are completed within specified timelines while maintaining quality and safety standards.

Scheduling

Effective scheduling of construction activities is essential for timely completion of projects.

Site Inspections

Regular site inspections will be conducted to assess project progress and verify compliance with design specifications. Quality workmanship and adherence to safety protocols must be ensured.

Project Drawings Review

The candidate will review project drawings and coordinate with the Planning & Development department for feedback and inputs to ensure alignment with project requirements.

Preliminary Site Surveys

Organizing preliminary site surveys for planning, preparation, and deployment of manpower will be a key responsibility of the candidate, ensuring efficient project execution.

Safety Risk Assessment

The successful candidate will assess safety risks to comply with the company's Health, Safety & Environment policy and objectives, implementing measures to mitigate risks and ensure a safe working environment.

Construction Plan Preparation

Facilitating Project Engineers and Construction Coordinators in preparing construction plans covering strategy, methodology, and timelines, obtaining approval from the competent authority will be an important aspect of this role.

Civil Works Approval

The candidate will review and approve civil works, materials as per tender requirement.

Regulatory Compliance

Maintaining high standards of regulatory compliance is crucial for this role, requiring proactive efforts to lead activities that ensure compliance with applicable construction and safety regulations.

Resource Mobilization

Mobilizing appropriate resources for project execution will be a critical responsibility of the candidate.

Site Office Planning

Planning the construction of site offices to mobilize manpower and commence project work, optimizing resources for project success will be an essential task.

Progress Reports Review

Regularly reviewing progress reports on development work, proactively identifying and resolving emerging issues to ensure project completion within stipulated timelines will be a key responsibility.

Contract Review

The candidate will review contract terms, supervise the process to obtain necessary permits and licenses, ensuring legal compliance for construction activities.

Risk Management

Identifying and assessing risks under their management/ownership, developing and implementing risk response strategies for the risks under their management, and monitoring risks and response strategies under their management will be critical responsibilities.
