Job Title: Main Accounting Professional

Job Description

This key role involves the management and oversight of all accounting activities. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • AUTHORISE vouchers, double entries and maintain accounting database entries in the accounting software.
  • PREPARE year-end financial statements.
  • Oversight and reporting of daily bank position.
  • Finalisation of periodic bank and accounts reconciliation.
  • Monitoring & checking cash movement including petty cash.
  • Preliminary preparation and execution of accounts payables/receivables.
  • Management of all billing, purchasing, receipts and expenses.
  • Recordation and maintenance of all export and import transactions/remittances.
  • Recordation and maintenance of refunds and rebates.
  • Preliminary preparation, maintenance and filing of FBR income tax, withholding tax and sales tax returns.
  • Preliminary preparation of monthly payroll.
  • Organisation of proper documents and response to letters and notices from any government departments such as FBR, SBP and sales tax office.
  • Handling of all bank correspondence/communication.
  • Knowledge of work related to SESSI & EOBI.
  • Any other accounts related tasks assigned by the management.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you should have a solid background in accounting and possess the following skills and qualifications:

  • A graduate degree in Accounts from a reputable educational institute.
  • At least 5 years of experience in the accounts department of textile sector or related manufacturing industry.
  • Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
  • Good verbal and communication skills in English.
  • Responsibility and honesty, with the ability to independently manage all accounts and banking matters.
