Job Title: School Leadership Opportunity

About the Role:
This is an exciting opportunity to lead a dynamic school community, promoting high standards of evidence-based learning and teaching. As a School Principal, you will play a key role in shaping the educational experience of students, fostering a culture of mutual respect, collaboration, and coordination.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Monitor school progress across key performance indicators, focusing on improvement and student success.
  • Recruit, develop, and retain top-quality teachers, empowering them to excel in their roles.
  • Foster a culture of mutual learning, respect, collaboration, and coordination within the school community.

Key Academic Responsibilities:
  • Implement the Teacher Selection process to attract and hire exceptional educators.
  • Develop and execute a school improvement plan based on thorough analysis and need.
  • Regularly assess classroom quality through lesson planners and observations.
  • Enhance teacher skills through demo sessions and continuous feedback.
  • Oversee student performance by reviewing assignments and test papers according to policy.
  • Organize, manage, and monitor co-curricular activities, academic schedules, and resource utilization.
  • Participate in training sessions and conduct on-the-job training for faculty members.
  • Administer term tests and examinations in a transparent and timely manner.
  • Maintain team morale and motivate teachers to stay with the institution.

Administrative Responsibilities:
  • Establish strong relationships with the community to promote education awareness and encourage enrollment in TCF schools.
  • Maintain optimal student enrollment levels through effective implementation of recruitment strategies.
  • Effectively manage teacher outreach and maintain an up-to-date CV bank at all times.
  • Coordinate with HR teams for staff hiring, retention, performance management, and other HR-related matters.
  • Promote positive character building among students and staff, while maintaining school discipline.
  • Manage staff leaves and attendance to minimize empty classroom days.
  • Supervise the administration assistant in financial and administrative tasks.
  • Ensure accurate management, documentation, and updating of school accounts.
  • Oversee maintenance of the building and premises.
  • Procure and manage utility services in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with the supervisor on board-related matters.
  • Familiarize yourself with TCF policies and ensure compliance in school activities.
  • Submit reports and documents in a timely fashion.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

Education:

A minimum of a Graduate degree; B.Ed and M.Ed preferred.


Experience:

A minimum of 2 years of teaching experience; at least 6 months of administration experience required for secondary school principals.
