Cloud Consultant

As a Cloud Consultant, you will partner with our business customers to help them succeed in the cloud. You will leverage your technical expertise and customer-centric approach to deliver exceptional results and drive growth for our customers.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Technical Consultation & Architecture Design:
    • Develop deep expertise in the DigitalOcean product portfolio and stay up-to-date with the evolving cloud ecosystem.
    • Design, diagram, and plan infrastructure architectures tailored to customer use cases, communicating complex technical concepts effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
    • Lead regular technical consultation sessions and workshops, empowering customers to manage their cloud environments independently.
    • Maintain knowledge of cloud infrastructure best practices and recent technologies through continuous learning and certification programs.
  • Proactive Customer Engagement & Growth:
    • Build strong relationships with customers to drive engagement, retention, and expansion of their DigitalOcean workloads.
    • Conduct Quarterly Business Reviews (QBRs) with key accounts, analyzing their progress, understanding their evolving needs, and aligning on strategies for future growth.
    • Identify opportunities for cost reduction and performance optimization, providing actionable guidance to customers to maximize their cloud investments.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with DigitalOcean's strategic objectives.
    • Monitor customer usage trends, identify potential risks, and uncover new opportunities for growth and adoption.
  • Advocacy & Cross-Functional Collaboration:
    • Represent the voice of the customer within DigitalOcean, ensuring their needs are reflected in product development and support processes.
    • Work closely with Engineering and Support teams to resolve technical challenges quickly, ensuring seamless customer experiences.
    • Develop compelling presentations to communicate the benefits and functionality of DigitalOcean's offerings to customers.
    • Contribute to technical documentation and provide training for DigitalOcean's teams and partners to promote knowledge sharing.
  • Tooling & Efficiency:
    • Develop tools and scripts to streamline technical engagements, enhancing the efficiency of Technical Success functions.
    • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve customer engagement strategies.
