Job Title: Insurance Business Strategy Lead

The Insurance Business Strategy Lead will oversee the development and execution of the long-term strategy for insurance business, ensuring alignment with the overall business roadmap. The ideal candidate will bring a blend of industry expertise, innovation, and leadership to drive insurance offerings, ensuring they are accessible, customer-centric, and competitive in the market.

  • Develop and execute the insurance business strategy, aligning with the overall business roadmap.
  • Identify new insurance verticals, customer segments, and trends to drive future product innovations.
  • Represent the digital insurance platform in regulatory, industry, and partner forums to promote digital insurance innovation.
  • Lead the design and structuring of a full suite of digital insurance products, ensuring competitive pricing, risk management, and customer appeal.
  • Collaborate with actuarial teams and insurance partners to guide underwriting strategies and risk management.
  • Own the P&L for the digital insurance portfolio, monitoring KPIs such as acquisition, conversion, claims ratio, and profitability.
  • Set and monitor growth targets, driving campaign strategies and partnerships to enhance market presence.
  • Establish ROI-driven frameworks for digital campaigns, cross-sell initiatives, and loyalty programs.
  • Build and manage strong relationships with insurers, brokers, reinsurers, TPAs, and tech vendors, negotiating contracts and revenue-sharing models.
  • Develop scalable embedded insurance models within the digital ecosystem and other partner platforms.
  • Engage with regulators to shape the insurance regulatory environment and ensure compliance.
  • Ensure all insurance products and operations adhere to local regulations, data protection laws, and industry standards.
  • Oversee the development of the digital insurance platform, driving automation, personalization, and real-time integrations.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership role within insurance, digital platforms, fintech, or insurtech.
  • Strong understanding of insurance operations, regulations, and digital distribution models.
  • Proven track record in launching and scaling insurance or financial products digitally.
  • Demonstrated success in managing strategic partnerships and commercial negotiations.
  • Deep analytical skills and the ability to make data-driven decisions in a complex environment.
  • Experience with API-based insurance or embedded insurance platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI/ML integration in insurance business.
  • Understanding of digital health, e-pharmacy, or integrated care models.
  • Exposure to international insurtech trends and partnerships.
  • Strong communication and leadership presence for board-level and regulatory interactions.
  • Advanced proficiency in data analytics tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, SQL) and performance monitoring platforms (e.g., Firebase, GA4).
