Healthcare Operations Specialist

 

As a Healthcare Operations Specialist, you will play a vital role in optimizing the revenue cycle of healthcare organizations. Your expertise in patient insurance verification, authorization requests, and electronic medical records (EMR) management will ensure seamless workflows and high-quality patient care.

 

  • Verify patients' insurance coverage for services and conduct regular re-verifications to identify changes.
  • Accurately document verification information within the client's EMR system.

 

  • Submit initial authorization requests to insurance companies for services requiring pre-certification.
  • Compile and submit required medical documentation from the client's EMR to support authorization requests.
  • Manage follow-up and subsequent authorization requests as needed.

 

  • Review and upload signed physician orders into the client's EMR, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Develop and maintain internal tracking spreadsheets and databases to support day-to-day workflow.
  • Assist in training new or existing staff on workflows and best practices.
  • Support other administrative or operational duties as assigned.
